An abbreviation for a chemotherapy combination used to treat colorectal cancer that is advanced or has come back. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. It includes the drugs leucovorin calcium (folinic acid), fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin. FOLFOX-4, FOLFOX-6, modified FOLFOX-6 (mFOLFOX-6), and FOLFOX-7 are different in the doses of the three drugs and the ways they are given. Also called FOLFOX regimen.
